The new benefit brings clinically validated skin cancer checks directly to H3 members.
Amsterdam, 15 October 2026. SkinVision today announced a new partnership with H3 Insurance, giving H3 Insurance members access to clinically validated skin cancer risk assessments directly from their smartphones. The partnership reflects H3 Insurance’s commitment to preventative healthcare, helping members take a more proactive role in managing their health.
The collaboration makes SkinVision, a leading smartphone based AI skin health platform, available to H3 members as part of their existing policy benefits. It gives members a fast and accessible way to check skin spots for early signs of skin cancer, without waiting for a GP appointment.
Why Early Detection Matters
Skin cancer remains the most common cancer diagnosed in the UK, and melanoma rates specifically have risen 164% since the early 1990s1, with incidence still climbing. Timely detection makes the biggest difference: five-year survival rates run above 99% for melanoma caught while still localised, but fall to just 36% once the disease has spread to distant parts of the body2. Yet dermatology waiting times continue to stretch from weeks to months, making accessible screening tools more important than ever.
How The Benefit Works
Through this partnership, H3 members will be able to download the SkinVision app, take a photo of any skin spot of concern, and receive personalised risk assessments and recommended next steps in a matter of minutes. The benefit is available immediately upon plan activation, with no additional hardware or clinical appointment required.
SkinVision’s technology is regulated as an EU MDR Class IIa medical device that is trusted by over 3 million users globally and is clinically validated across multiple peer-reviewed studies. In 2026, the full service (AI assessment combined with dermatology follow-up) achieved a sensitivity of 95% and a specificity of 87% across the most common forms of skin cancer: melanoma, basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC).
Mark Bushe, CEO at H3 Insurance, said:
“Our focus is to help members detect potential health concerns as early as possible. SkinVision provides an accessible, clinically validated digital assessment that encourages members to seek timely medical advice where appropriate while also providing reassurance for many low-risk skin lesions. This partnership complements, rather than replaces, existing clinical pathways and supports earlier intervention where it matters most.”
Jack Hanley, Head of UK & Ireland at SkinVision, said:
“We’re delighted to be working with H3 Insurance. Northern Ireland, like so many places, sees very high demand for its dermatologists, often leading to long wait times for patients. Together we are bringing a new approach to skin health that is proactive, accessible at scale and importantly helps people make an informed decision if they require care or not.”
